When more than a billion Chinese migrate from the countryside to the cities, the entire country will experience a radical transformation with severe environmental repercussions for the entire planet. For now, two solutions are being explored to best address the emergency: two new metropolitan models that also represent two truly modern utopias, starkly contrasting. On one side, there's the new, completely eco-sustainable Silicon Valley designed by Finnish engineer Eero Paloheimo, while on the other, there's the entirely vertical eco-city, like an immense skyscraper, championed by Chinese multimillionaire Zhang Yue.
