In the wild, orchids depend on soil fungi for growth, insect pollinators, humans and much others besides. As such, they too are considered bioindicators of the planet’s health.
Drawing on the European program entitled “LIFEorchids”, and in collaboration with the University of Turin, the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - Istituto per la Protezione delle Piante Sostenibili, Fascino Giornata delle Piante, and the University of Genoa, this short is the first episode of Particles Planet, an experimental program combining art and science in an educational and entertaining format.
