Soyalism

Directed by

In this broad perspective on climate change, the film embarks on a journey from China to Brazil, the United States, and Mozambique following the tracks of pork and soy industrial production. The new “green gold” cultivated in cleared forests like the Amazonian, then shipped to intensive pig farms around the world. This is big business in the hands of the powerful few. A concentration of power that drives an increasingly unsustainable economic model, a process that is upsetting the social and environmental balance of the planet, destroying entire eco-systems and forcing small livestock raisers out of business.
