Between 1946 and 1951 the Rockefeller Foundation sponsored the Sardinian Project antimalaria campaign. Through a sort of archeological excavation, the narrative combines science and history with the use of propaganda images and iconography that express the military metaphor of combatting disease, typical of the immediate post-WWII era.
