biography

He was an illustrator, director, animator, screenwriter. In 1967 he made L'histoire de la musique à Montréal, a huge polychrome glass mural installed in the Places des Artes station of the Montreal subway. He then turned to animation films, directing cartoons such as Abracadabra (1970), Illusion (1975), Tout rien (1980), the Oscar-winning Crac (1981), The Man Who Planted Trees (1987) and Le Fleuve aux grande eaux (1993).
