Arrosez-les bien!

Directed by

Gustavo is a farmer. To rid his fields of the caterpillars eating up his crops, he buys a special type of seeds from a slick salesman of an agricultural seed company. The new plants not only keep the bugs away but grow in different shapes and flavours and can only be harvested with the machines made by the company he bought the seeds from. Gustavo tries to protest but it's too late… A colourful, entertaining parable about the use of GMO in agriculture and the unpredictable effect they can have on nature and humans.

«The film deals with genetically modified organisms (GMO) through the story of a farmer who is swindled by a salesman of an agricultural seed company. The picture and the stage setting adopt theatrical principles, and the narrative rises to a parabola. Its apparent naivety and the nonsense of its events hide serious questions about GMO».
