Three very different works by Belgian artist Bob Verschueren that incorporate different plant materials from three very different places: a North Sea beach, an abandoned coal refuse site, an indoor playground. Retracing the cycle of inception, development, interaction with the surroundings and inevitable end, Dominique Loreau's documentary film reveals how the three installations are interrelated, capturing the frailty of our world.

«The inspiration behind Bob Verschueren's ephemeral installations echoed immediately within me. These frail constructions, the irony, the meticulous arrangement of such banal materials throw a stark light on our relationship with the things around us and reflect the conundrums of today's society. Lo-oking at his works, we see how far we have distanced ourselves from the ephemeral aspect of nature and we realize the frailty of our existence».
