Karukinka

Directed by

In the language of the Selk'nam, an aboriginal tribe from Tierra del Fuego, Karukinka means "our land." But with the conquest of this archipelago in the late 19th century and the subsequent extermination of the indigenous population, very little of this territory remained for the natives. Yet another sad chapter in colonial history, less well-known than others, reconstructed by Mario Gomes and Elisa Balmaceda in a journey between past and present in one of the most remote regions on the planet.
