Logorama

Directed by

A robbery in a Los Angeles fast food restaurant and a desperate getaway pursuit on the freeway. The usual movie fare. The novelty in this case is that the robber is none other than Ronald McDonald, one of the hostages is Mr. Pringles, and the police are the Michelin boys. The city is populated with over 2500 advertising logos and mascots: Lego; Levi; Emi; Apple; Pirelli; Jack Daniels; the Lacoste crocodile; baby Haribo; Playboy bunnies; Wwf pandas. In a single, liberating act of force, this visual metaphor of invasion by the icons of today's consumer society is defeated.
