A little boy wanders into the forest one day to discover animals grouped around a tree trunk. He has never seen such unusual creatures before and takes their picture with his Polaroid. On returning home he proudly shows the photo of his new friends to his mother awaiting him on the patio outside their house in the country. He reluctantly realizes the fragileness of a natural world at increasing risk of disappearing and extinction.
