Ha esordito alla regia nel 2002 con il lungometraggio di finzione Camino no Tomado, per poi realizzare il documentario One Water (2008), codiretto con Sanjeev Chatterjee. È il direttore dell’Edward H. Arnold Center for Confluent Media Studies dell’Università di Miami.
