Lavora come giornalista free-lance per diversi media e come lettore nel Dipartimento di Cinema dell'Istituto delle Arti di Jakarta, in Indonesia. I suoi due lungometraggi And the Moon Dances e Letter for an Angel lo hanno reso noto in Germania. Air dan Romi è stato prodotto per il Seminario Internazionale sull'Acqua nel dicembre 1991 dal Goethe Institute di Jakarta. Il film è servito come base per discutere le tematiche legate all'acqua.
