biography

She is a photographer, journalist and a prominent figure in Italian cinema; she made her directorial debut with Una casa in bilico (1985), which won the Nastro d’ Argento prize. Her works include documentaries, video portraits, and fiction films. Il resto di niente (2004) won three David di Donatello awards and five nominations for Nastri d’Argento. In 2016 she was awarded the Nastro d’Argento special prize for her documentary film Oggi insieme domani anche.
