He grew up in India. He graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film and Video from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) where he also studies Aesthetics and Politics. Machines, his debut feature, premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival, Amsterdam (IDFA) and the Sundance Film Festival, where it received the Special Jury Award for Best Cinematography.
