After an internship at NCVR (National Christian Radio Service) in 1965-66, he worked on various children's shows at KRO (National Catholic Programme Service), including the series So What?. 1967-1969: he is a freelance for The New Fronter. Following the series Vanishing Point Digenes and Machiavelli for VPRO (Liberal Christian Programme Service), he worked on various evening programs: Extra, The Public Interest, Today's Youngsters, and 4 documentary mini-series: Holland Now, Religion Man/Woman and Ageing. Since 1979 he has been involved in the creation of documentaries, among which The Immortal Stage (1979), The Future has started (1986). 1986-1991: he contributed to the series NL:Dresden 1945, The West Bank, Djibouti and Jordan. In 1989 he studied journalism and continued his interest in documentaries. In 1997-8 he created three episodes of The Food Factory and a series on Berber traditions: The situation in Morocco.
