An environmentalist, journalist, photographer, and filmmaker, he is the founder and president of the GoodPlanet Foundation. Appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Environment Programme on Earth Day, in a career spanning over forty years, he has published hundreds of photography books, directed numerous television documentaries, and made films such as Home (2009), Human (2015), and Woman (2019).
