Mimmo, a young Neapolitan, is attending a training course at a company in Latina. Thanks to Pietro, an environmental engineer and course instructor, Mimmo discovers a case of garbage collection and disposal operations conducted outside the provisions of municipal ordinances, another instance of the widespread practice of illegal waste disposal. The Latina company is also the main shareholder of the local dumping site and has absolutely no interest in stepping up differentiated garbage collection. When Pietro is fired after having tried to change the situation, Mimmo takes over his job, turning a blind eye to what Pietro wrote in his final report.
