Kononga

Directed by

Every year famine returns: the Kononga people (northern Burkina Faso) depend on seasonal rains for their survival. In this area of the world, desertification has gone on for generations, and the local people are unable to face this natural process without outside help. While awaiting the end of the world— their world, the villagers (animalists, Muslims and Christians) place their fate in God’s hands.
