Polvere, il grande processo dell’amianto

Directed by

Still widely used in China and Russia, world production of asbestos has not stopped. A good part of the world’s population is exposed to asbestos fibers and no level of exposure is considered safe. Beginning with the Turin court trial against the multinational Eternit, held responsible for the deaths of nearly 3000 factory workers and citizens of Casale Monferato where the factory was located, the film continues to India and Brazil and examines how the use a lethal substance is managed through an influential lobby that protects the interests of an international business.

The screenplay for Polvere received a special mention award at Concorso Premio Solinas 2008 and was nominated for a David di Donatello in 2012.
