Up until the age of 5 years, Tom ate only raw food, following a strict dietary regimen his mother imposed in the conviction that uncooked food was the healthiest choice for her son. Until Tom was admitted to the hospital because malnourished and seriously below the growth parameters for his age. The mother was accused of child abuse and neglect. But she has no intension of changing her views on what she thinks is best for her son.
