Te Henua e Nnoho

Directed by

Takuu, a tiny Polynesian atoll about 250 km from Bougainville, is populated by a small native community which, because of the rise in sea level due to global warming, now faces leaving the atoll. Some inhabitants, like Teloo, Endar and Satty, are determined to stay. The film offers an insight into their lives and culture. With oceanographer John Hunter and geomorphologist Scott Smithers, we explore the problem and its implications to discover the real impact climate change has on the environment and its population.
