While politicians directed attention to the causes of a pandemic with unpredictable consequences, the local populace is battling against Granjas Carroll, a company owned by Smithfield Foods, accused of polluting the environment and harboring a worse virus for humanity owing to the serious injustice it perpetrates in the name of laissez-faire.
